Air Force Military History Museum
- Curatorial case

"ROCAFM is Taiwan's first and largest military museum, located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan!"

On the occasion of the ROCAFM's 30th anniversary, the Air Force Command has renewed the entire museum's curatorial project. It has carefully commissioned numerous Idea Story designers to lead the curatorial design team in planning the exhibition of the entire new generation of the ROCAFM!

We integrated the newest projection fusion technology to create a vast 180-degree theater and built a 3D air combat simulation for this huge exhibition project.

The plot is thrilling and intertwined with historical facts, allowing youngsters to immerse themselves in the exhibition's environment through the game process.

The basic typeface style in the above image uses stylized components from the Museum of Military History building to convey the authority and high-class atmosphere of a Greek temple, and the acronym ROCAFM is similar to a Roman stylized column.

The technique of "little elements represent the entire" is utilized in the logo design on the left, and the imagery of an eagle extending its wings is used to express the senior air force instructors and develop a favorable image of the air force.

LESS IS MORE, and simplicity is still the goal. This contemporary LOGO design is appropriate for usage in a variety of museum functional objects, such as area signage, directional aids, and exhibition hall decorating. Furthermore, the cultural and creative design is very suitable for the idea's extension and can be further designed into LOGO hoodies, sets of postcards, cool cards, activity theme posters, iron shell badges, and other diverse products, which can help the museum operation design curatorial type of diversity.

Military History Museum's Children Study Sheet

The creation of DMs, guidebooks, and children's learning sheets is critical to the guide's function. It is best to consider all of these while designing your exhibit and combining them through overall planning to avoid amateurish curatorial circumstances in which materials are intermingled and colors are not uniform.

In the floor plan of the guide booklet, the art designer configured a 3D model top view made by the curatorial designer after measuring the site. The clear and accurate pre-planning of each display area not only allows the owner to fully understand and envision the future appearance of the display area but also facilitates the touring process, allowing visitors to easily conduct active sightseeing activities through the guide booklet.

People can become bored or frustrated by the static nature of cultural and historical exhibitions. To make the exhibition more interesting to visit, the designers cleverly designed some semi-static activities in the exhibition, such as stamp collecting activities, treasure hunting activities, and so on, in addition to active interactive devices such as projections, screenings, touch screens, or intellectual video games, and so on.
